Costly Mistakes
'False economy! Don't talk to me about false economy..
'This hot copywriter prepared the text for our new brochure
- Derek from Sherborne. Then our designer did a really good job putting together
a lovely all-colour glossy - no expense spared to give the right impression.
'It looked a treat - except for the silly typo on page two and a dot missing from
our email address. 2000 copies for the shredder.
'Yes, yes, I checked and signed off the final proof myself..
Well, anyone can do it, so I thought.
'I'm asking Derek to look over the new version - he's versatile, does proof-reading
as well as copywriting and has got an eagle eye for those little mistakes.
'Little? How will our clients take us seriously if our brochures aren't up to scratch?
They might think our work won't pass muster either - and if they ever think that,
bang goes our business.
'Contact Derek, I say - and don't take any chances.'
